Our story starts with care
A place for wildlife.
A purpose we share.
Oz Wildlife is an information site about Australia’s native wildlife: what we can learn, where to find help, and how everyday choices can make space for wildlife.
Information you can follow up
Our aim is to make reliable wildlife information easier to find and understand. The wildlife guides link to their sources, and every published blog article includes references you can follow.
Explore native species, seasonal changes, habitat and safety, or start with practical ways to help wildlife in everyday life.
A library and a conversation
Start with a field guide, read an article or bring a question to the community. Articles separate findings from uncertainty and include their sources. Forum discussions are member contributions; they are not automatically verified advice.
If you spot an error, use the contact page to send the article link and a source that explains the correction. Clear dates and corrections help keep this a useful place to learn.
When an animal needs help
Oz Wildlife does not provide hands-on rescue or care. Contact a local licensed wildlife rescue group or a vet for urgent help, and follow their advice. Please don’t wait for a reply from this site.
